| Other Facilities | A visit to Middle Rock offers the opportunity to be guests of a New Zealand farming family in a non-commercial environment amidst the stunning high country scenery of the Lake Coleridge area.
Lyn and Bruce Nell are third generation, owner operator New Zealand farmers. Farming 7,000 sheep at Middle Rock in the Lake Coleridge high country, they have over 15 years experience of welcoming visitors to Middle Rock. With its easy access for large tour coaches, the property is an ideal venue for international visitors, industry delegations and families wishing to experience first hand, life on a high country sheep station.
Only one hour's drive west of Christchurch, Middle Rock offers a 3 hour comprehensive farm visit which includes a farm tour by 4WD or coach, a dog trialling display and concludes with morning or afternoon tea in the homestead. This visit particularly appeals to those wishing to gain more than a superficial undestanding of NZ sheep farming enterprise.
No minimum numbers but a minimum charge applies. |
