We are situated 16 kms south of Te Kuiti on SH4 off SH3 at the major 8 mile junction which takes you to Taumarunui, and the Ski-fields at Mount Ruapehu. Mapara North Road is the second road on the left, then right into our gate-way, then continue along our driveway. Please phone for directions if you are coming from the south or the east diections, garden sign on highway.

AccommodationBirdsong Cottage is fully contained (self catering) bed-sit unit with a queen size bed plus a bed-settee, whereby will sleep up to 4 people, we also provide all amenities that one needs when on holiday such as, TV, radio, hair-dryer, small library of books etc., most of all comfort and warmth, each window at rare has a panoramic rural view, and from a large verandah in the front is a lovely view of our garden over looking our wonderful surrounding hills.

Other FacilitiesWe also open our garden to visitors. Situated at the head of a valley surrounded by rock cliffs, this large 16 year old picturesque, tranquil garden is created on natural undulating boulder strewn farmland, with expansive lawns and walking tracks.

We are an oasis just off a main highway where stresses can be forgotten, or Trisha can ease away any aches and pains at all levels with a Therapeutic/Aromatherapy massage in amongst nature at its best.

Stu and Trisha have lived on this property for 32 years and are very happy to provide a very comfortable and welcoming stay, one that you'll never forget, do come and see for yourselves.

We also can offer you a tour of our Display Room featuring an extensive collection of Antique Musical Instruments, English Porcelain, Silver, crystal, Cane Fishing Rods and many other items of interest.
