About our Attraction

Born in Auckland in 1973, Richard began painting whilst in his mid teens and is self taught as an artist. Having travelled extensively throughout the Pacific Islands, Australia, Europe and North Africa, Richard’s art reflects many influences from around the world and has seen him develop a very individual style of painting.

His works remind us that we are all part of the symbiosis of the planet and evoke a sense of collective responsibility to the earth and to each other.

Richards work over the last decade has often been a commentary on the relationship between man and his environment, with a particular focus on conservationist issues. Richard is represented in the Auckland Regional Council Collection, the Manukau City Council Collection and his work is also held in private collections throughout New Zealand and Internationally.
