Other FacilitiesIn December 2007, Rachael Buxton and her husband purchased the property. The renovation of the church, hall and landscaping took 9 months.

The garden is a terraced formal garden that was designed by Xanthe White.
There is a central raised water feature that adds interest and tranquillity
to the space. The aged bronze 'urli' of the water feature is an antique
imported from Egypt. Traditionally urli's were used as Temple Bowls.

About our Attraction

Interiors.etc retail takes pride of place in what was up until 2003, the Old Karaka Methodist/Presbyterian Church.
The church was originally built towards the end of the 19th Century and located in Pokeno. In 1917 the church was moved to its present location on State Highway 22 at 458 Karaka Road. In the 1950's a community ‘working-bee’ built the hall at the rear of the church.
